Developed by a mom of eight kids. This handy chart helps you track what toys you rotate so that each toy is out at least once a month.

The basic idea of this plan is that you are going to organize the toys into smaller boxes of like items, label them, then keep most of them out of the sight of the children, so they can’t make more of a mess than they can handle cleaning up.

Toys could be stored on shelves in your garage or furnace room or in a wooden pantry with cupboard doors or closet. You will rotate what is available for the children to play with.

If a toy is available to play with, but you notice it is not played with: make a note on your chart. When it is donation, give away or rummage sale time - you know which toys should go.
